Bikram yoga is an intelligently designed routine of 26 traditional yoga postures which comprehensively works the whole body in 90 minutes. Its focus is to achieve and maintain balanced health, a firm body, and a sharp mind. Bikram yoga is practiced in a room intentionally heated to just above body temperature to increase flexibility, provide a cardiovascular workout and melt away stress.

The 26 postures work synergistically and cumulatively to provide a total body workout to every system of the body promoting optimum health and wellbeing.

The sequence is designed as a progression so that every posture warms up the muscles and joints used in the next one, allowing the body a safer, deeper stretch. Bikram Yoga also stretches, squeezes and massages the internal organs, flushes the cardiovascular system and stimulates the endocrine and nervous systems as well.

Anyone can do Bikram Yoga; it’s equally challenging to beginners or more advanced students and appeals to men and women of all fitness levels. No prior experience is necessary and our certified instructors will help you advance at your own pace.

Come to class well hydrated and with an empty stomach. Bring a large towel and water and wear light, stretchy clothing that you feel comfortable in. The room is heated so long pants or t-shirts are not recommended. Arrive 15 minutes early for your first class.

In order to achieve the best results from your Bikram Yoga practice you must be consistent and determined as with anything in life you wish to achieve. Each class can and should be challenging and you will be expected to work hard. Physically you will develop strength, flexibility and balance while, at the same time, developing concentration, patience, determination, trust and discipline.
